The Night Bus Hero: “learners decided how to interpret looking at the book; they completed a survey on what to do e.g. hot seat questions, drama, playing cards for comprehension and we carried out the chosen activities“

Independent Project Books: “learners choose what their topic was about based on their own curiosity and interests.  At the end of the term, they had the opportunity to look at each other’s work and provide feedback to one another, they gave 2 positives and one constructive criticism. They also completed a questionnaire to gauge their response to the projects”  

Rap: “use language imperatives and commands to create rap about anti-smoking messages or firework safety, perform and feedback“

Advert: “Holidays in Wales theme. Look at existing leaflets and pick a place, venue, activity, and create an advert“

Fashion show: “announcer needs to revise third person language. Teams of 3, class to vote on best teams”

“The River by Valerie Bloom: thinking about metaphors. Use still images/pictures/animation/ acting out/mime. Portray the imagery that comes from the poem’s metaphors. What is the metaphor trying to tell us about the river. Feedback from peers” (Yr 3)
